This is a short overview of the tasks that must be accomplished to get your product Vision Control ready.

Preparation

The first step is to check if you chose the right implementation and all the requirements are met. The requirements relate to topics like Hardware Layout and Interfaces.
Just get an overview before starting with the implementation. This implementation type fits for the following product types:

The Core Module is best suited for simple fixtures with only basic settings and limited requirements for advanced customization. Configuration and control can be done via NFC, Bluetooth, Vision Mesh, or DMX RDM. The module takes care of nearly all essential functions, and different variants are available to match your specific needs.
It’s designed for cost-effective, straightforward, yet powerful products.

Unlike the External Implementation, this approach does not require custom firmware or a separate microcontroller. Instead, it relies solely on the Vision IC running a universal firmware. A simple configuration file defines how the controller behaves. Predefined hardware options and limited customization are supported, but full firmware-level flexibility is not available.
This makes it a fast and efficient solution for developing new fixtures with minimal effort. There is the option for an external auxiliary controller if needed.

For detailed information on what is possible please refer to the following chapters.

Hardware

During this step, you will design the schematics for your specific product. You will find schematics for the controller and it’s peripherals. You can choose between different controllers and optional peripherals as you need.

Software

This chapter contains the fundamentals of how you must write your firmware when using external auxiliary controllers. If you choose the Core Module version with the already supported battery controller and battery gauge, you don’t need to worry about this chapter.

Example Project

We have prepared a sample project to guide you through the correct procedures. Check out the project using our Core Sample Boards. Log into the Development Server to request your board there:

Test & Run

To assist you in testing and verifying your project, we have designed a testing guide within our Vision Control App. Please follow the outlined steps in the chapter to ensure your implementation is without any errors.

Release & Production

The final step outlines the process for releasing your product in the Vision Control App and explains the licensing procedures for production.
