The Vision Core Module got different kind of input and output interfaces. Output is for controlling actuators like LEDs or motors. Inputs are for controlling basic functionalities like turn on and off or DMX Control.

Input Control

  • NONE: Turns on and off automatically when power is present
  • BUTTON (Multi function): Turn on by press, Turn off by press, Double press unlink, 10s press reset
  • SWITCH: Turn on when switch is closed. Turn off when switch is open

Output Type (LED/IO)

  • WS2812 (addressable LEDs)
  • DMX (all components supported from the APP)
  • PWM (up to 12 PWM Channel supported. For example 3x RGBW)

Using nrf52840: up to 100 pixel
using nrf52833: up to 64 pixel
Up to 6 colors per pixel
Pixel * color count * resolution must stay below 512 bytes

Display Support

  • None
  • SSD1306: support for I2C Display

DMX/RDM

  • DMX-Personalities: automatically created using supported components. Some personalities can be disabled.
  • RDM parameter: Productcategorie, Product-Detail, Manufacturer, Device description, Manufacturer ID, DeviceModel ID

Interfaces

  • iQ.Mesh
  • DMX
  • WDMX/CRMX
  • Auto

NFC Support

  • To connect using the App
  • Patch using the App

Battery/Power

Battery Gauges

  • SY6410DFC
  • SA59202
  • NONE (No Battery or may just for wake-up or configuration)
  • Basic Voltage Measurement

Battery Charger / PMIC

  • SGM4056
  • SGM41513A
  • SGM41575
  • NONE (no battery or no charger)

To get you an idea, here are 3 examples:

Example 1: Uses WS2812 Protocol and the Vision Battery management

Example 2: Uses DMX512 Protocol an auxiliary controller and the Vision Battery management

Example 3: Uses DMX512 Protocol an auxiliary controller and an External Battery management. Therefore also Input (Status) Interface is needed.

For the Vision Controller there is support for two different ICs:

  • nRF52833 (https://www.nordicsemi.com/products/nrf52833)
  • nRF52840 (https://www.nordicsemi.com/products/nrf52840)
